Current Projects

SAFE ENDZ
Camera Phone Film Competition – An open competition for young people to make films on their camera phones, to show how they would make their neighbourhood safer. Click here for the brief. A PDF will open in a new window.

T-Shirt Project
We have linked up with Envision.org to work with a group of students at Westminster Academy who recently lost one of their friends who was killed by a student at a rival school in the area. We’re working with them to design a t-shirt which will send out the message that all young people should be able to cross ‘Postcodes’ in safety. The t-shirts will be on sale soon, with all profits going to charity. Watch this space!

D&AD Student Awards
Design and advertising students across the UK and Europe are working on a brief encouraging more people from creative industries to work with young people through CNH. Register at www.dandad.org to take part!

Architectural Projects
Create Not Hate believe that if young people can have an input into urban spaces in their community, they will be more likely to take care of their surroundings, and crime and anti-social behaviour will be reduced. Also we hope they will be inspired to look at careers in architectural and construction in the future. We are currently in talks with developers and funders regarding two architectural projects, one in South London and the other in East London.

A note on project mentoring

At Create Not Hate we see mentoring as important part of what we do. Unfortunately, it is not logistically possible for us to mentor everyone involved in our projects. If you are part of a youth group or school that would like to be considered for mentoring on future projects, please contact cat@createnothate.org or call 020 7907 1140 and we will do the best we can to include you. Or if you would like to offer your services as a mentor, don't hesitate to get in contact.
